Alabama Veterans Memorial Park
September is Suicide Prevention Month, as designated by the U.S. Army. As part of our ongoing efforts to support and educate veterans and their families, the Alabama Veterans Memorial Foundation is hosting a free Suicide Awareness and Prevention Seminar.
The session will be led by an experienced counselor from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Birmingham.
Who Should Attend?
This seminar is open to veterans, families, and the general public—anyone interested in learning how to support those who may be struggling.
No registration is required, and complimentary snacks and refreshments will be provided.

Support local veterans at Avondale Brewery with an afternoon of live music, raffles, and great beer.
Additional donations will be welcomed and appreciated at the event.
In partnership with the Financial Planning Association of Birmingham (FPA), the Alabama Veterans Memorial Park is offering free one-on-one financial counseling sessions for veterans, current service members, and their families.
